Pubs
The selection of pubs in Białystok is huge. They are all different in terms of the decor or types of beverages served. The pub owners never cease to come up with new original ideas on how to arrange the interiors, despite the fact that most of the pubs are located in
cellars, sometimes in
attics. The one similar characteristic are the prices which are generally the same everywhere.
The standard price for beer is about 5 zloty. Weekend pub traffic is usually very big and it might not be all that easy to find a seat in the more popular places. No such problem on weekdays, however.
Most of the pubs are located in the city centre, in the area of the streets of
Lipowa and
Rynek Kosciuszki. They can also be found in the housing districts. The typical age group stretches from 18 to 45 and over.
When strolling the streets of Białystok it is worthwhile to take an occasional peek in the inner courtyards of the buildings along the streets as you never know where a new pub or bar 24 might be located. In the summer time most of the pub life moves outdoors, to the open air cafes, where one can get a beer, snacks and barbecued specialities. Credit cards are accepted in the majority of places.
